Currently, I am a computer vision researcher working with Asst. Prof. Fatma Guney in Autonomous Vision Group (AVG) and co-supervised by Asst. Prof. Baris Akgun. I am working on the model-based policy learning for urban driving. I am especially interested in generating a framework that allows reasoning about the optimal action by predicting the future (i.e., world models). Previously, I worked in Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory (RML) with Prof. Dr. Cagatay Basdogan. My work in RML mainly focused on the generation of proper signals to convey tactile feeling to high-end consumer electronics with touch screen (i.e., surface haptics).
A simple motion planning algorithm for 2-linked robotic arm.
This project is a simple motion planning algorithm for 2-linked robotic arm. It is implemented in Python and make use of the Potential Field Method to optimal path.
While I was taking Deep Learning course in Koc University, we were asked to implement a deep learning paper as a term project. Additionally, we had to use Julia Language and Knet Deep Learning Framework as a language and framework, respectively. Below, you can find the codes that I have implemented as a utility for the code.
A convolutional neural network library that allows you to construct arbitrary shaped CNNS. It is based on Knet deep learning framework. It automatically calculates the intermediate layer sizes and determines the output dimension. It can also work with multi layer perceptrons (MLPs).
A generalized data holder (i.e., dataloader in PyTorch). It allows you to load and iterate over your data in a batched manner. It can work with in both online and offline setup.
A helper class that allows you to create function prototypes that you can pass to another objects in order to use it later.

A minimalist tensor library written in C++
A minimalist tensor library written in C++ to perform basic tensor operations. It is created to be used in another deep-learning-from-scratch (work in progress) project in C++. Library allows you to create tensors of arbitrary dimension and perform basic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and element-wise operations. It also allows you to perform matrix multiplication and transpose operations.

Haptics
During my time in Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory, I designed two different projects to control experimental setups that we have constructed. First one is to control a very complex structure which includes two linear stages, high resolution camera, and data acquisition devices (DAQs).
TacTX is another project that I designed to control a surface haptics setup. It includes a capacitive touch screen, a force sensor, an accelerometer, and a DAQ device that is responsible for whole data acquisition. TacTX is not only a suite that controls an electromechanical setup but also it provides you a framework to work with any DAQ device in MATLAB.
